ProEMS vs MyClassboard: which one covers what your school runs?
MyClassboard is the wider product. It says it has provided school ERP since 2008 and serves 3200+ schools (other counters on its site say 2900+ and 2800+), and its pages describe hostel, inventory, GPS bus tracking, WhatsApp, Tally and fee payment inside the parent app, none of which ProEMS has.[1, 2] ProEMS is narrower. It covers records, attendance, fees, exams and report cards for schools and colleges on one product, and it publishes its prices, from ₹79 per student per year before GST. MyClassboard does not publish pricing (checked 21 October 2026), so you only learn its cost by asking.

Checked on 21 October 2026 against MyClassboard's own website, its Google Play and App Store listings, and two named software directories. Where its pages are silent, the table says unstated, not no.
Which should you choose?
Choose MyClassboard if
- You need hostel, inventory or GPS bus tracking in the same system. MyClassboard's pages describe all three, and ProEMS has none of them.
- You want WhatsApp messages to parents, or parents paying fees inside the app.
- You run a college that needs OBE, CO-PO mapping or NBA/NAAC reporting, or a school that needs IB or Cambridge gradebooks.
- Your accountant wants fee data synced to Tally, or your trust wants a vendor that says it holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022.
- You manage several schools or a franchise from one place, and want a vendor that says it has provided school ERP since 2008.
Choose ProEMS if
- You want prices on paper before a sales call: ₹79, ₹169 or ₹249 per student per year before GST, with a ₹12,000 yearly minimum.
- Your needs are the school office, fees, exams and report cards, and you'd rather switch on only the modules you use.
- You run several schools, or a school and a college, and want each on its own database and web address.
- You want to know where the data sits: AWS Mumbai, an encrypted database, daily backups with 7-day recovery.
- You're starting from Excel and want a one-month trial with no lock-in before committing.
How do ProEMS and MyClassboard differ in what they cover?
MyClassboard is a wide campus suite. Its site says it has over 40 modules,[4] and the ones that matter most for this comparison sit outside the school office: hostel, inventory, transport with GPS, a canteen, a school store and alumni management.[1] ProEMS is narrower. It covers student, parent and staff records, attendance, fees, exams and report cards, certificates, admissions, library, transport records and payroll, in three plans that a school switches on module by module.
The useful question is not which list is longer. It is whether you would use the extra modules. A school that runs a hostel and a stores room on paper gains most from MyClassboard. A school or college whose pain is fee collection, marks and report cards may not need most of the wider list.
Where is MyClassboard stronger?
In several places, and they are not small ones.
- Campus operations. Its pages describe hostel (bed allotment, mess menu, gate pass), inventory with purchase orders and asset depreciation, and GPS tracking on buses.[14, 15, 17] ProEMS has no hostel module and no inventory, and keeps transport as records only.
- Parents. Its parent app page says parents can pay fees online, and it offers WhatsApp messaging with opt-in and two-way replies.[2, 21] On ProEMS only the student login can pay fees, and there is no WhatsApp.
- Accounts. It syncs fee receivables and collections to Tally.[8] ProEMS has no accounting export.
- Colleges. Its higher-education page lists OBE, CO-PO/PSO mapping and NBA/NAAC reporting.[10] ProEMS handles programs, courses, terms and backlogs, but outcome-based reporting isn't in its module list.
- Scale and assurance. It says 3200+ schools (2900+ and 2800+ elsewhere on its site) and 2.1M+ students, and says it holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022.[1, 4, 29] ProEMS has been built since 2019, publishes no customer count and makes no ISO or SOC 2 claim.
- Several schools under one trust. Its site lists multi-school and franchise management.[4] ProEMS keeps each school separate, with its own database and web address, so there is no shared view across schools.
One more thing to ask about. ProEMS screens are in English only. The MyClassboard pages we read don't say which interface languages it offers, though its Ved AI page lists translating text into Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Kannada.[12] If your parents or staff need Hindi or a regional language, check this for both.
Where is ProEMS stronger?
In three narrower ways. ProEMS does not match MyClassboard's range, and both cover colleges: ProEMS with programs, courses, terms, backlogs, admit cards and university Excel, MyClassboard with its higher-education module.[10]
- Price in the open. ₹79, ₹169 and ₹249 per student per year before GST, with no set-up fee. You can work out a year's cost before anyone calls you.
- Known hosting and separation. AWS Mumbai, an encrypted database, and daily backups with 7-day point-in-time recovery. Each school gets its own database and web address, such as yourschool.proems.in.
- ICSE and ISC paperwork. Council List and nominal roll exports, report card PDFs, and a rank list with percentile (Gold). The MyClassboard pages we read don't mention a Council List, so if your school files one, ask to see it in a demo. Our guide to the CISCE Council List explains the filing.
What does each one cost?
ProEMS prices are on the pricing page: ₹79, ₹169 and ₹249 per student per year before 18% GST for Silver, Gold and Platinum, with a ₹12,000 yearly minimum. For 600 students on Gold that is ₹98,865 a year before GST, or ₹1,16,660.70 with GST. There is no set-up fee, hosting and the apps are included, and SMS and payment gateway charges are passed on at cost. Quarterly billing costs 10% more. The trial is one month with no lock-in.
MyClassboard does not publish pricing (checked 21 October 2026). The Pricing Plan link in its footer goes nowhere and its pricing address returns a not-found page.[1] Techjockey and SoftwareSuggest, two software directories, both ask you to request the price.[3, 32]
Whichever vendor you ask, get these in writing:
- One-time charges for set-up, training and data import.
- Whether the price is per student, per module or per campus, and what changes in year two.
- Who pays for SMS, WhatsApp and payment gateway charges.
- Contract length, auto-renewal and the notice you must give to leave.
Where do I find the MyClassboard parent app or login?
This page is a comparison, not MyClassboard's login, and ProEMS is a different company. Your school gives you the MyClassboard login. The parent app on Google Play is “MCB PARENT APP”, published by Myclassboard Educational Solutions Pvt Ltd, and the App Store listing has the same name.[22, 33] Teachers use “SMART MCB” on Google Play.[23] If you can't find the right app, ask the school office which one it uses. MyClassboard lists a support portal for existing customers on its customer support page.[30]
What does moving from MyClassboard to ProEMS involve?
Mostly an export from MyClassboard and an Excel import into ProEMS. Both sides have limits, so go in this order.
Ask MyClassboard for an export, in writing
Ask for students, parents, staff, fee ledgers and marks. The pages we read don't list export formats. Its privacy policy says it will delete or return customer data on your instructions when you stop using the service.[27] We found no customer contract on its site, so read yours for the notice period and data return.
Get the data into Excel
ProEMS takes data through Excel import and migration templates. Migration from non-Excel sources is not included, so if the export comes in another format, converting it is your job or a separate piece of work to agree with us first. Our guide to moving from Excel to a school ERP covers preparing the sheets.
List what you use every day
Hostel, inventory, GPS tracking, WhatsApp, Tally sync and parents paying in the app do not move, because ProEMS doesn't have them. Decide what replaces each before you start.
Trial one real class and one fee cycle
Use the one-month trial. Check opening balances and fee dues for a sample of students against your old records before you load the rest.
Tell parents which app to use
They install ProEMS on Android or ProIMS on iOS (the iOS listing carries that name) and enter your school's organisation code on the first screen. Parents see results and attendance in the parent login on the web, not in the app. See the mobile app page.

FAQ
Common questions
Short answers. The sections above have the detail and the sources.
- Does MyClassboard publish its prices?
- No. We checked its website on 21 October 2026 and found no price. The Pricing Plan link in its footer goes nowhere, and Techjockey and SoftwareSuggest both ask you to request pricing. ProEMS publishes its prices: ₹79 (Silver), ₹169 (Gold) and ₹249 (Platinum) per student per year before GST, with a ₹12,000 yearly minimum.
- Does ProEMS have hostel, GPS tracking, inventory or WhatsApp like MyClassboard?
- No. MyClassboard's pages describe all four. ProEMS has no hostel module, no inventory, no GPS or live bus tracking (transport is records only) and no WhatsApp messaging.
- Can parents pay school fees in the app?
- On MyClassboard's parent app page, yes: it says parents can view fee details and pay online. On ProEMS, no. Students pay on the web from the student login, and the apps show fees but take no payments.
- Is MyClassboard ISO certified?
- It says it holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022. Its certificate page names Royal Impact Certification Ltd as the certification body and gives the scope as the design and development of educational SaaS. We have not checked the certificate with the certification body. ProEMS makes no ISO 27001 or SOC 2 claim.
- Where is MyClassboard hosted?
- It calls itself cloud-based, but the pages we read name no provider or region (checked 21 October 2026), so ask. ProEMS is hosted on AWS in Mumbai (ap-south-1), with an encrypted database and daily backups with 7-day point-in-time recovery.
- Where do I download the MyClassboard parent app?
- Search for MCB PARENT APP on Google Play or the App Store, or ask your school office which app it uses. This website is for ProEMS, a different product, and cannot log you in to MyClassboard.
- How do I move my school's data from MyClassboard to ProEMS?
- Ask MyClassboard in writing for an export, because the pages we read don't list formats. Put the data into Excel and load it with ProEMS's Excel import templates. Migration from non-Excel sources isn't included. Run the one-month trial on a real class first.
- Does ProEMS suit a college as well as MyClassboard does?
- ProEMS handles programs, courses, terms, backlogs, admit cards and university Excel in one product. MyClassboard's higher-education page adds OBE, CO-PO mapping and NBA/NAAC reporting, which aren't in ProEMS's module list.
